Chris Martinez is a young Santa Clara potter who has a bright future ahead of him. He has already learned to make large carved pots which very few Santa Clara potters are now able to do. Chris was taught to pot by three teachers: his grandmother, the deceased Flora Naranjo; his mother, Barbara Martinez; and his sister, Vickie Martinez. All are fine potters which is reflected in Chris’s work.
